The Records Management and Archives Office is a cultural agency attached to the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). It was created, organized and operates under Executive Order No. 290 dated March 14, 1958 as amended by Executive Orders Nos. 285, series of 1987 and 80, series of 1999. Its mandate is to plan, develop and coordinate government-wide programs, policies, rules and regulations governing the use, storage and disposition of current and non-current records.
